Travel grants for graduate students presenting at SMH 2027

Applications are open for the Russell F. Weigley and Jeffrey Grey Memorial travel grants, which support graduate students presenting a paper or joining a roundtable at the annual meeting in New Orleans. Deadline January 4, 2027.

For graduate students planning to present at the Society for Military History’s annual meeting in New Orleans, March 11 to 14, 2027, applications are now being accepted for two travel grant opportunities.

Russell F. Weigley Graduate Student Travel Grant Awards are open to students enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program.

Jeffrey Grey Memorial Travel Grant is open to students enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program outside North America and who do not currently reside in North America.

Both grants support travel associated with presenting a paper or participating in a roundtable at the annual meeting.
